Ulysse Nardin is an independent and integrated Manufacture producing advanced timepieces for explorers in pursuit of freedom.
Founded by Mr. Ulysse Nardin in 1846, the company owes its reputation to its links with the sea: its onboard marine chronometers are among the most award-winning and reliable ever designed.
A pioneer in innovative technologies and the use of high-tech materials such as silicon, Ulysse Nardin is one of the few integrated manufactures with the in-house expertise to produce its own high-precision components and movements. In 2001, the Maison changed the face of contemporary watchmaking by launching the first Freak.
Today, in the Swiss towns of Le Locle and La Chaux-de-Fonds, Ulysse Nardin remains devoted to its quest for watchmaking perfection in four collections: Freak, Blast, Diver and Marine.
As of 2022, Ulysse Nardin and sister Maison Girard-Perregaux have formed an independent collective of high horology Manufactures.
A leap into the future for the nonconformist Manufacture that’s always ahead of its time, the UFO is artistic, technical but also playful as it sways when nudged, before righting itself on its base. This mechanical feat incorporates 675 components and boasts a year’s power reserve. This thrilling adventure is now coming to a close with a final historic series, each limited to 30 pieces.
The Freak ONE, the quintessence of the legendary Freak, is the proud recipient of the Iconic Watch Prize at the Grand Prix of Horology of Geneva.
The Freak ONE stands out as a disruptive, cutting-edge timepiece. With this addition to the unique Freak collection, Ulysse Nardin combines and highlights the most essential and celebrated designs and technological advances of the Freak over its 23-year history. The Freak ONE still adopts the model’s three iconic characteristics: no dial, no hands, and no crown.
The Freak ONE OPS, is Ulysse Nardin’s award-winning Freak ONE, but with a twist. The new piece is cased in black DLC titanium, complemented by a khaki green palette that informs the special sunray-patterned barrel cover and the watch’s integrated rubber strap pairing.
The material story continues in the bezel, which is made of Carbonium®, an innovative material with exceptional strength-to-lightness properties that’s produced using the same carbon fibres found in state-of-the-art aircraft wings and fuselages.
